Go Backstage With Street Style Stars' Next Obsession: Juicy Couture
I know what you're thinking. "You've been talking about Juicy Couture all week." And you're right. But today's Juicy Couture runway show was proof that there's a reason. For her first show, Jamie Mizrahi put out a collection that both celebrated the brand's history (many of the materials and designs were throwbacks to the Juicy archives, even if you can't tell at first, she told InStyle backstage) while still focusing on the future. And the future is bright, sparkly (the collection walked with memorable duster earrings created by Alison Lou), oversized, and chic.
"Nostalgia has proven to be one of our brand's greatest assets, and I truly believe it will be the springboard to launch us into the next phase of our brand's evolution," the creative director said in the show notes.
Here, we take you on an exclusive backstage tour of the Juicy Couture show.

The Vibe
The vibe backstage was a healthy mix of chaotic and fun. When the InStyle team arrived, many models were fully ready to walk, while others were lounging in Juicy Couture robes.

Those Tracksuits, Though
The tracksuits were everything. Gone are the days where you have to choose your favorite color. Now, we have multi-color options, like this, above. Oh, and they come in cashmere.

The show took place at the Hotel Wolcott on 31st street in Manhattan. While attendees of the show walked through a back entrance, models prepped "backstage," which was actually in various rooms and a hallway of one of the hotel's floors.

"As always, this collection was designed with our "Juicy Girl" in mind - who she was, who she is and who she will be. I hope she likes it," Mizrahi says.
