Sonia Rykiel designer Julie de Libran let her imagination run wild this season, and the result was an exuberant collection filled with the effervescent spirit the late house founder adored. Rykiel stands for Frenchness—the iconic Breton stripe is a longtime code of the brand—and whatever each season brings, you can count on it including a heavy dose of je ne sais quoi.
For Fall 2017, de Libran adopted a more avant-garde approach to stripes and noirs, often giving subversive tweaks to her pieces—high volume, fine feathers, and touchable textures abounded. Scroll through to see highlights from her latest take on Parisian style.
