Celebrities Reveal Their Girl Crushes at the Lenny Letter Party
Girls may be over, but Lenny Letter is just getting started. On Friday, at The Jane Hotel, co-founders and jacks-of-all-trades Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner hosted a party to celebrate the two-year anniversary of their feminist newsletter in partnership with Cole Haan. Zosia Mamet, Malin Akerman, Julia Stiles, Bridget Everett, and Jenna Lyons—many sporting the brand's footwear—showed up to lend their support. Considering the evening was all about celebrating badass women, we thought it appropriate to ask guests to reveal their current girl crush.
Read the surprising revelations below.
"My mom, Laurie Simmons. She's such a badass—she was out last night because she designed a T-shirt for Planned Parenthood with the company Milly. She raised $125,000 for them in 70 seconds selling her artwork a few months ago, too. She has always fought for what's right and made me think that was what was cool and sexy to do. And she always looks f-cking fierce."
"Annette Bening has been a big girl crush of mine my whole life. I just think she's a phenomenal actress, human being, and woman. She's someone to look up to. She stands for many good things in this world."
"Aidy Bryant. We're on Marco Polo together, and she is f-cking killing me; she's so funny."
"My friend Dara. She's an unsigned model and she just walked Marc Jacobs for her second time in a row. I think she's a really fascinating new girl on the New York scene."
"Right now it's Julia Garner. I just finished watching her in Ozark and she slayed so hard."
"Maggie Gyllenhaal, my co-star on The Deuce. She's fearless and not self-conscious at all."
