He previously held posts at Time Inc’s Entertainment Weekly and Sports Illustrated groups and Wenner Media’s Men’s Journal. In addition, he launched the independent magazine Budget Living and served as the editor of Salon, overseeing a relaunch of the pioneering digital publication. In 2020, he founded Buried Lede Productions, which develops IP for film and television from journalistic storytelling.


Alex earned his Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing from Vassar University.
