Kate Middleton doesn’t have much time to prepare for maid of honor duty because her little sister, Pippa Middleton, will be walking down the aisle in just a few short months. According to People, the 33-year-old is set to marry her 41-year-old financier fiancé James Matthews in May 2017—less than a year after Matthews proposed during a romantic getaway to Lake District in England.
A close friend of Pippa’s told People that she’s “super excited” and “already planning everything.” Considering that Pippa worked for her family’s party planning business for years and has even authored a party planning book, we have no doubt she’ll throw an epic event.
Meanwhile, Pippa’s friend also revealed some new details about her engagement ring, which we’ve been swooning over ever since the couple got engaged on July 17. The Asscher-cut sparkler, which Matthews designed himself, is reportedly from Robinson Pelham, the boutique jeweler who designed the earrings worn by Kate on her wedding day. The price tag? A cool $250K.
“He would never have bought something off-the-peg for her. It had to be very special,” the friend dished.
We can’t wait to see what Pippa rocks on the big day to complement her bling. In the meantime, we’ll just be sitting over here waiting for our invitations.
