Julia Roberts expertly manages to balance filming hit movies and raising three kids, so when we sat down with InStyle’s December cover girl and the star of this month’s film Wonder, we had to ask for her best parenting tips. And Roberts did not disappoint.
The actress told InStyle that one of her favorite ways to bond with her kids—Hazel, 12; Phinnaeus, 12; and Henry, 10—is to sit down for daily meals at the kitchen table. “It’s really meaningful, and that is the time that we have had some incredible conversations. I usually have breakfast and dinner with my kids every day. I think it really punctuates, you know, starting things together and sort of processing and winding it down together,” Roberts says in the video at top.
Roberts, who shares three kids with husband Daniel Moder, also revelas the age she felt comfortable buying her daughter, Hazel, a cell phone, and every parent should hear her reasoning.
