Zoë Kravitz may only be 26 years old, but the endless photos of her jaw-dropping fashion has captured our attention for quite some time now. From her bohemian chic red carpet gowns to her trend-setting bikini looks featuring with fashion-forward body jewelry, it's clear to see why the singer, model, and actress was named InStyle's Breakthrough Style Star during the first annual InStyle Awards at The Getty Center in Los Angeles Monday night.
Believe it or not, the always well dressed Kravitz—that night in a sheer white cut-out Calvin Klein gown—doesn't study the latest fashions, confessing to InStyle that she only wears what feels right. "I know so little about style and trends and designers," she told us before receiving her award. "I'm very much a visual person. If I see something and I like it, it's not because a certain designer made it or it's on trend, it's about how it makes me feel when I'm in it. So, I'm not very trendy, but that might be my secret weapon."
When it's time to get dressed, the head-turning style star likes to stick with a "less is more" approach, telling us, "to me, simplicity is the key to fashion." While the budding icon was vocal about her preference for attire that requires minimal effort, when asked to describe her style, Kravitz seemed short on words. "I don't think I can, which I think is probably a good thing," she said. "That may be the breakthrough part."
