World, meet Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman.
The Israeli model best known for her role in The Fast and the Furious films has begun work on the part of a lifetime. Gadot, 30, will star in Wonder Woman, the upcoming Warner Bros. movie based on the beloved DC Comics heroine of the same name.
An understandably excited Gadot celebrated the start of filming on the project by tweeting a photo of herself in character—the world's first official look at her as the superhero.
"Almost 75 years in the making ... #WonderWoman is underway," she wrote alongside the photo, which shows her wearing a dark green hood and Wonder Woman's famous headpiece.
Earlier this fall, Gadot's hunky costar Chris Pine told premiere.fr that he is "super excited," to appear in the film. "What excites me most is to work in a movie with a superhero woman," he said. "With a woman in the lead role. I am teamed with this intelligent, beautiful and strong woman to defeat the villains and save humanity."
Gadot will appear as Wonder Woman for the first time in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (starring Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill), which hits theaters this spring. The standalone Wonder Woman movie is set to premiere June 23, 2017.
