Could Sam Smith's Grammy Awards night have been any better? The singer not only looked dapper in multiple Gucci ensembles, but he also cleaned up during the ceremony and took home four awards: Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album for In the Lonely Hour, and Song of the Year and Record of the Year for his smash hit "Stay With Me."
After an incredible night, we're sure a multitude of musicians are now clamoring to work with Smith—but the singer has his own list of dream collaborations. "There's so many. I can't even begin," he tells InStyle. "Some of the people I met tonight, Paul McCartney, Madonna, Lady Gaga, it's so amazing. There's so many people I want to work with. One person I'd love to work with is Joni Mitchell."
As for what's next, the star is already looking forward to working on new music and just continuing to be himself. "I think this success is going to affect my new material in the most positive way possible," he says. "I can now put the term Grammy Award Winning Artist before everything I do, which is the most amazing thing."
And Smith admitted that it feels incredible to win for music he feels so passionate about: "What’s beautiful about this record for me is that I didn't play a character. So, I don’t have to work really, really hard to do what I’ve done again because it’s just me being me. I’m living my life and just spoke about it through music, and I’m going to do the same again. And if no one likes it, then it's not really in my control."
