Angelina Jolie arrived at the G8 Foreign Ministers' Conference in London this morning to give a speech to world leaders addressing the pressing global issue of wartime rape. Jolie addressed the issue at hand wearing an all-black ensemble that included an asymmetrical coat pinned at the waist with a brooch, a single strand of pearls and one of the stones in each ear, and a pair of classic nude pumps. "Hundreds of thousands of women and children have been sexually assaulted ... in the wars of our generation," Jolie said to the crowd. "For too long, they have been the forgotten victims of war, responsible for none of the harm but bearing the worst of the pain. This violence can be prevented, and it must be confronted." Jolie thanked the G8 delegates for their just-announced landmark commitment of $35 million to an education fund dedicated to teaching the global community how to deter and investigate wartime sexual crimes.
