This news may make you happier than your daily coffee: Target has just announced a new women's line of plus-size clothing, Ava & Viv!
Designed by Target's in-house design team, the brand will arrive in stores in mid-February and the collection will consist of mainstay basics (tops and T-shirts plus blouses, pants, jeans, skirts, shorts, sweaters, dresses, outerwear, and swimwear) as well as some trendier statement pieces. Prices range from $10 to $80 and new pieces will be added every month.
“Target is synonymous with great design, and with the launch of Ava & Viv, we’re stepping up our fashion game for our plus-size guests,” says Stacia Andersen, Target's senior vice president, merchandising, apparel, and accessories. “From stylish original prints to the attention to detail and fit, this line is meant to impress and we can’t wait to share it with our guests.”
To help with the launch of Ava & Viv, Target enlisted top fashion bloggers Gabi Gregg, Chastity Garner, and Nicolette Mason (pictured at top) to model for the look book and give their feedback. "I think the girl who will wear it is a girl who wants to be seen and wants to be noticed and have fun with her clothes," Mason says.
