While our #WomanCrushWednesday posts tend to be filled with actresses, artists and red carpet regulars, we love giving shout-outs to women in our real-life world, too–whether they're our moms, grandmothers, best friends, or inspiring leaders in our community. And to honor some spectacular, crush-worthy women doing awe-inspiring work, L’Oréal Paris is celebrating the 10-year anniversary of its Women of Worth program.
From more than 6,000 female nominees who volunteer their time and energy for their communities, a group of ten has been selected as honorees this year. And one of those 10 will be spotlighted to receive a $25,000 donation from L’Oréal Paris to support her cause. Now are you ready to be inspired? Because this year’s nominees are beyond impressive: They include Teri Kelsall, a woman who helps mentor veterans re-entering the work force; Kathy Koenigsdorf, who builds support for recovering substance abusers; and Schinnell Leake, an event planner who provides birthday parties for homeless children.
You can read about all of the nominees and cast your own vote at WomenofWorth.com, or place your vote via social media by visiting the L’Oréal Paris Facebook page from now until Nov. 20. And if you find a new #WCW, we can’t wait to hear about it!
