Meredith Grey's got moves! Ellen Pompeo took a break from filming season 13 of Grey's Anatomy (which premieres tonight) to show off some hip hop moves she's apparently been hiding up the sleeves of that doctor's coat for all these years.
On Wednesday, Pompeo shared a video on Instagram of herself and Debbie Allen (who plays Catherine on the show) and Allen's son, music producer Norm Thump Nixon, breaking it down to "For Free" by DJ Khaled and Drake with an ambulance in the background.
"It goes on and on....@shondarhimes WE ARE WORKING OUR ASSES OFF!!!" Pompeo captioned the 'gram, referencing the show's creator, Shonda Rhimes, adding the hastags "#seasonwhat???" "#shondalandproblems" and "#ourfansarethegreatest"
Leading up to the hit drama's 13th season, Pompeo revealed that the reason she's stayed on board for so long is based solely on her age. "At 33, I was wise enough to know my clock was already ticking in Hollywood," the 46-year-old mother of two said.
She added: "I thought, 'Why would I leave something that is super successful and pays me great to search the landscape?' I decided that I would stay on Grey's and be grateful and try to ride it out for as long as I could. And I am very happy that I made the decision to stay. It's only gotten better with time."
Season 13 of Grey's Anatomy premieres tonight, Sept. 22, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
