Whether she’s taking the courtroom by storm on How to Get Away with Murder or rocking designer gowns on the red carpet, Viola Davis never fails to look fierce and fit. We’ve especially been in awe of the star’s super-toned arms for years—and so when we caught up with Davis at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of her new film, Custody, over the weekend, we asked her to spill about the fitness routine that keeps her in such top shape.
But much to our surprise, Davis revealed that her usual exercise regimen has taken a backseat these days. “I’ve been doing intervals working out on the treadmill,” she told InStyle. “But lately, it's been exhaustion.”
When we asked what has the star feeling so wiped out, Davis got candid. “I’ve been dealing with menopause, which has said, 'You know what? I don't care how much you've been working out—we're not going anywhere!’” she said with a laugh. One thing's for sure: Whether the talented star is logging time at the gym or not, she's always turning heads.
