Vanessa Hudgens Is Starring in a New NBC Comedy Pilot, <em>Powerless</em>

If you loved Vanessa Hudgens in Grease: Live, then we have some good news: The actress is once again returning to TV. Hudgens has been cast in the pilot for a new show from DC Comics called Powerless, Variety reports.

The show is “a workplace comedy set at one of the worst insurance companies in America” set in the DC universe filled with super heroes and villains. Hudgens will play Emily Locke, an insurance claims adjuster whose job is constantly disrupted by the super-human forces in her city.

Hudgens’s gave an emotional performance in Grease: Live just hours after her father passed away from a battle with cancer, surprising and delighting fans with her portrayal of the tough, but secretly vulnerable, Betty Rizzo.
