The Queen of Rock and Roll is turning 76 today! We're honoring Tina Turner's big day by reliving some of music's best on-stage outfits—the iconic performer's included!

The singer—whose raspy voice and lightning-quick legs will forever be a part of music history—first burst out on to the scene in the 1950s as Ike and Tina Turner Revue with hits including "River Deep - Mountain High" and "Proud Mary."

Ike and Tina Turner Revue soon went on tour, opening for The Rolling Stones in 1969. In the mid-1970s, Turner broke out with solo album, and the rest is history, with eight Grammy wins and a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Turner's solo act included hits from "We Don't Need Another Hero" to "What's Love Got to Do With It." She celebrated her career with a sold-out anniversary tour in 2008—which became one of the year's highest-selling ticketed shows—while also sharing the Grammy stage with Beyoncé that same year.

While Turner has remained pretty quiet since then, she's still the hip-shaking and quick dancing star we've always know and loved. Celebrate the powerhouse's 76th birthday by looking back at some of the best on-stage looks to date.
