In real life, a layover is one of the most frustrating experiences. But in a movie featuring funny girls Lea Michele and Kate Upton, one would actually be pretty entertaining. Well, you're in luck: A road trip buddy comedy called The Layover starring the pair is in the works and the two ladies could not be more excited about it. The actresses took to Twitter to announce their participation in the film, which is being directed by William H. Macy:
Michele and Upton will play long time best friends who decide to ditch their problems and escape on a vacation, Deadline reports. However, when their plane gets rerouted due to a hurricane warning, they find themselves falling for and fighting over the same man during a very long layover in St. Louis.
Macy, who also has a small role in the film, told Deadline, "The minute I met Lea and Kate, the film began to focus for me. They are singular, ambitious funny women in full. This is going to be fun.”
Even though Michele just wrapped up her six-year run on Glee, she is already busy with new projects. In addition to this film she is currently working on the new Ryan Murphy FX series Scream Queens with Emma Roberts. Kate Upton made a big splash in the comedy The Other Woman last year.
