Disney’s powerful Polynesian princess has quite the doppelganger in this teenage fan. Cosplayer @mikaylano dressed up as Moana for the Wondercon convention, and the resemblance is uncanny.

The 17-year-old channeled the animated character in a flower crown headband, red one-shoulder crop top, and straw skirt, even recreating Moana’s shell necklace in which she keeps the Heart of Tafiti while traveling across the ocean. Between her big brown eyes and gorgeous thick curls, we (and the Internet) are seriously doing a double take.

While the resemblance is undeniable, this teenage cosplayer is Filipino, while Moana is Polynesian, drawing up some criticism online. @mikaylano responded to the comments on Twitter, explaining that she was “not trying to offend any culture” with her actions. “No princess has ever looked like me AND acted like me while being my age,” the teen wrote of her love for Moana.
