In the grand tradition of high school graduation, Madeleine Tarin, 18, posed with her parents Dario and Jacqueline after walking across the stage to accept her diploma (or, you know, the diploma holder?). However, unlike most high school graduates, this wasn’t the first graduation photo Madeleine had taken with her parents.
Madeleine’s mom had her when she was 16-years-old, so when she graduated high school two years later, little Madeleine was there to cheer her on. The family captured the celebratory occasion on camera back in 2000—Jacqueline smiled in a yellow gown with Dario by her side, Madeline sitting on her father’s shoulders.
So, naturally, when it came time for Madeleine to graduate herself, the family *had* to recreate the sweet photo—with Madeleine on her father’s shoulders once more, of course.
Despite their age at the time of Madeleine’s birth, the teen claimed on Twitter that her parents never failed to provide for the family, giving them all a “great life.”
The California teen, who will attend Rider University in New Jersey on an academic and athletic scholarship, told HuffPost that both her parents loved recreating the graduation photo. “I think it was an eye-opener for them to see how far they’ve come!” she said.
