Who run the world? Girls, obviously. Forbes released its second annual roundup of America’s Richest Self-Made Women Wednesday and the list is jam-packed with inspiring rags to riches stories. While Diane Hendricks, co-founder and chairman of ABC Supply, a roofing company, landed the top spot thanks to her $4.9 billion net worth, the 60-person roster includes a large number of celebrities.
Taylor Swift is the youngest person on the list, reportedly having accumulated a net worth of $250 million at only 26 years old. The amount earned her the No. 60 spot. Nasty Gal founder and #Girlboss author Sophia Amoruso, 32, (No. 52) is the second youngest on the list (her net worth is $280 million), while actress Jessica Alba (No. 42) racked in a whopping $340 million at age 35.
The members don’t come as too much of a surprise, considering most are known for their strong work ethics and creativity, especially big names in entertainment like Madonna (No. 25), Beyoncé (No. 56) , Celine Dion (No. 37) , and Swift (who had an epic 2015 that included an around-the-globe tour for one of the year’s most successful stadium concerts). Barbra Streisand (No. 38) , Oprah Winfrey (No. 2) , Facebook’s Sheryl Sandberg (No. 14) , and writers Nora Roberts (No. 42) and Danielle Steel (No. 48) also ranked in.
