It looks like Jaime King may have found her next career move! At last night's launch of Parker on Spring, the actress spilled on her latest undertaking that was inspired by none other than Taylor Swift: writing songs. "I have been writing since I was 7 years old, and Taylor has been a big advocate and encouragement," King—who looked gorgeous in a black-and-white look by Parker, Stella & Bow jewelry, Prada shoes, and a Jason Wu clutch—tells InStyle. "I’ve written manuscripts, books, and I would love to by a lyricist. That’s my next big endeavor! My main goal is to write music."
Being surrounded by a solid group of girlfriends has pushed King to take risks and try new things. "Having friends like Lena Dunham and Taylor Swift is incredible—they are so loving, authentic, and real and truly love you for who you are. It has nothing to do with their names, nothing to do with it. The companionship is real and true and authentic." Another factor that has contributed to her trying new things? Becoming a mom. "I feel more sexy and more beautiful than ever," Kings says. "I've never felt more like I have a purpose."
During the celebration, which was held at The A List Showroom in Beverly Hills, King was joined by other stylish Hollywood moms including Malin Akerman, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Angela Lindvall, and Jordana Brewster. Other stars including Camilla Belle, Rashida Jones, Nikki Reed, Alison Pill, Bellamy Young, Darby Stanchfield, Katie Lowes, and more all came out to shop the Parker capsule collection in real time on the new mobile shopping app, Spring, while they layered on jewelry from Stella & Bow, pampered themselves with skincare favorites from the Caudalie Beauty Bar, and kept cool in the heat by sipping on Evian water.
