The models stripped down to literally nothing except their shoes for the shoot, which spotlights the "Nearly Nude" sandal—Weitzman's new block-heel version of his celebrity favorite, the "Nudist."
The stunning black-and-white images were shot by Mario Testino, the photographer behind Kate Moss's and Gisele Bündchen's campaigns for the iconic shoe brand. According to the company, the photos capture a "distinctively minimalist aesthetic while manifesting the intimate relationship between a woman and her shoes." We'd have to agree with that!
In a release, the brand explained that the fact that Hadid, Smalls, and Aldridge are friends made them the ideal casting choice for the campaign—which makes sense given how up close and personal they had to get.
The models, whom the brand refers to as "quintessential girls-next-door" were chosen as the new faces for Stuart Weitzman because of their "social relevance and fashion-forward trendsetter statuses in addition to personifying the confidence, empowerment, beauty and ease of women wearing Stuart Weitzman shoes."
