’Tis the season to give back—and to hit the red carpet in icy-hot gowns! Last night’s 10th annual UNICEF Snowflake Ball drew a crowd of stars decked out in wintry ensembles at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. The event, which included a live auction, celebrated UNICEF’s work to save the lives of children in 190 countries and territories and honored the organization’s philanthropists, ultimately raising over $3.3 million by the end of the night.

“The work they do is so critically important throughout the entire world,” said Katie Couric (in Carmen Marc Valvo). “It’s wonderful to have a good time and wear a pretty gown, but it’s really about the work they’re doing.”

Also at the dinner were Heather Graham (in Paule Ka), Téa Leoni, and Kelly Ripa, who were treated to a lively performance by Nico & Vinz. Derek Lam—who was attending the event for the fourth time—said that he was ready to “raise money and celebrate the honorees,” while first-time guest Katrina Bowden (in Badgley Mischka) was thrilled to become more involved with the cause. “I’m just really excited to be here to support this great organization,” Bowden said.

And the charitable spirit extended beyond just the evening, as Brooke Burke-Charvet pointed out. “Tonight isn’t just about raising money and awareness,” she said. “It’s about spreading the word and getting more people involved.”
