Lactose-intolerant coffee lovers, rejoice. Starbucks is stepping up its summer menu game yet again with a brand new dairy-free option: the Iced Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato. The release, an addition to the mega coffee chain's special cold bar menu, comes on the heels of last week's affogato-style frappuccino announcement and marks the first time the 'Bucks will offer an iced espresso beverage using coconut milk.
The elaborate drink (pictured above) calls for a poured espresso shot over a blend of chilled coconut milk, ice, and white chocolate mocha sauce, and is finished with caramel sauce (à la the popular Iced Caramel Macchiato) and an extra swirl of mocha for good measure. The Iced Coconut Milk Macchiato is available in Starbucks stores in the U.S. and Canada starting today, and throughout the summer, while supplies last. Drink up, kids.
