The worlds of fashion and sports are (surprisingly) interconnected: From athletes launching fashion lines to celebrities serving as the face of athletic brands, there is an endless crossover between the two, and for the first time, Sports Illustrated is building a bridge.

SI will “celebrate the most stylish people in all of sports” with its new Fashionable 50 list, a roundup of the athletes and even sportscasters who are known for their groundbreaking style. Victor Cruz, Swin Cash, and Michael Strahan are among those who made the cut.

Stylists, fashion executives, and journalists like InStyle’s very own Fashion Director Melissa Rubini consulted on the list, which will be unveiled in its entirety on April 11. Models from SI Swimsuit 2016 (currently on newsstands), including Hannah Davis (above) and Chanel Iman (below), were also among the experts who chimed in on the worlds of fashion and sports.

The honorees will then walk a red carpet for a celebratory event, sponsored by JCPenney, on April 12. Ten finalists will be named, and one will be crowned the most fashionable athlete in sports.
