If you don't associate skiing with being stylish, get ready to change your tune. While this winter sport may not exactly bring to mind flashes of sartorial prowess, the stars have been proving that you can indeed hit the slopes and be fashionable at the same time.

Gwen Stefani (above) was red hot in Mammoth Mountain, Calif., where she enjoyed the fresh powder in a L.A.M.B. for Burton red and black print ski suit, contrasting red plaid scarf, and mirrored ski goggles. In Gstaad, Switzerland, the queen of pop herself, Madonna, went incognito in head-to-toe black while skiing with a friend (below).

Heidi Montag spent the holidays with husband Spencer Pratt in Aspen, Colo., where the two enjoyed some quality time on the slopes together. To battle the chilly temps and falling snow, the reality star opted for a bright skiing ensemble consisting of black pants, a purple jacket, and a pink scarf (below).

Meanwhile Olivia Palermo took skiing style to the streets in the Swiss Alps, teaming a pair of neon green Tenica Moon Boots with grey skinny jeans, a fur-lined parka, a multicolored scarf, and Dior sunglasses (below). Who knew skiing could be so chic?
