This Friday, the much-anticipated film adaptation of Veronica Roth’s best-selling book Divergent finally hits theaters. Stars of the movie and celebrity fans alike gathered for its premiere last night in Los Angeles, all looking forward to seeing the compelling story come to life on the big screen.
The actors of Divergent, including Shailene Woodley (in Elie Saab Couture), Kate Winslet (in Safiyaa), and Theo James (in Dolce & Gabbana), came out to celebrate the film's release and dished on what the story behind the script means to them. "I feel like we’re all divergent," Woodley says. "I feel divergent because I wake up every morning, and I get to do me. Like you do you, I do me. And I think that’s divergent in itself, to own yourself and love yourself." Ashley Judd, Tony Goldwyn, Zoe Kravitz, Miles Teller, Maggie Q, and Mekhi Phifer are also part of the all-star cast who showed up to support the film.
Shailene Woodley, On Being Divergent
"I feel like we’re all divergent. I feel divergent because I wake up every morning, and I get to do me. Like you do you, I do me," says @shailenewoodley.
Divergent is a thrilling adventure film set far in the future where people live in a world divided into factions based on human virtues. Tris Prior (Woodley) soon discovers she is "divergent" and will never fit into any one group, making her a key target for a faction leader (Winslet), who is set to destroy everyone who evades the system. Tris must quickly learn to trust the handsome and mysterious Four (James), as they work together to uncover the truth before it's too late.
