Something transformative occurs when creative director Nicolas Ghesquière warmly welcomes big-name pop darlings into the world of Louis Vuitton. Case in point: Selena Gomez, who since appearing at the French fashion brand’s resort 2016 show in Palm Springs back in May not only frequently dines with Ghesquière and Vuitton campaign stars like Michelle Williams and Alicia Vikander, but also repeatedly drops jaws in sublimely-fitting red carpet looks.
Yesterday, the 23-year-old brunette was spotted inside Paris’s Charles de Gaulle airport in an ensemble that, while simple when pieced apart, takes a whole lot of bravado to pull off. Gomez comfortably glided through the terminal in an off-white knit sweater styled with a crisp white shirt underneath, oversized sunglasses, a rectangular leather tote, and pointed-toe black pumps. Yes, the look was somewhat conservative, but it’s the pair of black leather pants that completely elevated her jet-set style. And while leather below the waist can often unfortunately bunch in all the wrong places, her precisely tailored crop was flawless.
