After the show comes the after-party, and the ladies of Louis Vuitton creative director Nicolas Ghesquière's inner circle know exactly how to bring it. Following the debut of a kaleidoscopic fall 2016 collection that helped bring Paris Fashion Week to a close, Selena Gomez ditched her comfortable, yet ultra chic, Vetements sweatpants ensembles and instead opted for glamour at a Vuitton-hosted dinner held Wednesday night in the City of Love.
The 23-year-old singer's style has taken an impressively elegant and daring turn in the past year, thanks in large part to stylist Kate Young, but her all-black look truly is one of her best to date. For the high-profile affair, Gomez slicked her hair back into a ponytail and shined with a natural-looking glow and frosty nude, slightly pink, lip. It wasn't just her beauty look that caught our eye. The talent slipped into a black floor-length slip dress with sexy sheer cutouts and a veil-like cover up that wrapped around the neck and extended down the length of the dress.
Don't think Gomez was the only star set to impress at the Vuitton showdown. Oscar-winning girl of the moment Alicia Vikander, who also joined Gomez and stars like Jennifer Connelly and Lea Seydoux in the front row that morning, stunned at the dinner, too. Vikander said goodbye to the frilly peasant dresses she wore in The Danish Girl and turned to the brand for a modern pant a white blouse getup that we must bow down to. The actress paired her look with sleek ankle-strap sandals, a graphic LV handbag, and, to bring an extra dose of pizzazz, a white fur stole.
Talk about ultimate fashionable star power.
