After the Thanksgiving fiasco of last episode, Scream Queens takes us in a different direction this week: The Chanels go Black Friday shopping. Looking for doorbusters, Kappas? Consider us shocked!
At the mall, they accidentally stay past closing time. They're stranded and locked inside. Guess who else is inside? The red devil, of course. Chanel No.'s 3, 5, and 6 all escape, but Chanel (Emma Roberts) stays behind to face the murderer head on. She's Kappa president after all.
Big mistake, Chanel! The red devil shoots her in the shoulder with an arrow. Just before he's about to shoot her again, Denise Hemphill (Niecy Nash) barges in with a squad of police officers to help. She's the new chief of police since the previous detectives on the case were too incompetent to catch the red devil. Instead of shooting the killer with her new gun, the red devil shoots an arrow at a police officer and runs off.
Back at Kappa house, Chanel—with her arm in a fur-lined sling—calls a meeting with the sisters to plan their next move. She thinks Dean Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis) is the root of all these killings and suggests they kill her. Grace (Skyler Samuels) stands up and shockingly agrees with Chanel. She thinks Dean Munsch is the killer as well. The two decide that their only course of action is to poison the dean.
At the Dickie Dollar Scholar fraternity, Chad (Glen Powell) goes over Boone's will with Pete (Diego Boneta). Wait, Pete? Evidently, Boone has left all of his possessions to him. Pete confesses to Chad that Boone was his informant on campus Greek life. He's been working on his investigative piece of Kappa Kappa Tau for so long that he needed someone on the inside to feed him information. After a heated argument between the two, Chad offers Pete a spot in the Dollar Scholar frat, but Pete declines.
Grace and Chanel pay a visit to Dean Munsch. They butter her up with compliments and ask her to teach them about feminism because they want to start a Wallace University feminism club. They toast to the new club with apple cider (the dean's favorite), which is poisoned. Except nothing happens ...
The girls try two more times to murder Dean Munsch. First, they take her to cryotherapy and set her temperature to negative 200 degrees Fahrenheit, hoping that it freezes her to death. She walks out very much alive. Later, the Chanels decide that the only way to get the job done would be to drown her, so Chanel meets the dean at the university pool, but Munsch foils her plans before she can make any moves.
Grace visits her father and Pete's there with him. He's been doing some digging on Gigi and discovered that it was actually her sister who took home the twin babies that night 20 years ago. She tried to raise them but eventually committed suicide. Gigi took over raising them and turned them into cold-blooded killers hell-bent on revenge.
Later, Pete is packing up his dorm room in a rush and gets a phone call. While on the line, he says that they've done enough damage and need to get out of town now. When he hangs up, he opens his closet to look at his red devil costume—a costume he once said was just his school mascot uniform.
Grace shows up to his dorm room. She's ready to take the next step with Pete and wants her first time to be with him. Pete confesses to her that he doesn't want her first time to be with a murderer.
Next week, all will be revealed! Tune in to Fox on Tuesday, Dec. 8, at 8 p.m. ET for the two-hour season finale of Scream Queens.
