New York’s longstanding it girl, Sarah Jessica Parker, attended the 2018 Spring Gala for the New York City Ballet alongside two very special guests: her twin daughters.
Parker, who’s the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at NYCB, hit the red carpet with her and husband Matthew Broderick’s 8-year-old daughters Marion Loretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge on Thursday.
The little ladies stood by their accomplished mom in complementary floral dresses and embellished pink Dolce & Gabbana Mary Janes ($530; farfetch.com), both twins keeping their long dirty blonde locks back in sweet patterned headbands. I mean, they’re Carrie Bradshaw’s spawns after all, of course they have amazing taste.
Mom kept an arm around both her girls on the carpet, posing between them in a delicate pale blue collared dress with sheer sleeves and satin trim, her hair fittingly secured in a ballerina-esque bun.
It feels like we’re missing something … Oh! Shoes! The Sex and the City alum wore a glorious pair of glittering silver pumps from her own collection ($375; saksfifthavenue.com).
Parker and Broderick, who’ve been married for nearly 21 years now (a lifetime, in Hollywood terms), also share a 15-year-old son named James Wilkie.
During a Tribeca Talk last week, Parker, 53, opened up about her children, revealing that none of the three seem to have any show biz aspirations.
“They don’t seem to show a great deal of interest [in performing], which I’m perfectly happy about,” she said. “They don’t put on shows or anything—that hasn’t happened. There have been some interesting ballet performances, and they’re musical—they all play the piano and love it very much; some of them have good voices, but they haven’t shown any real interest in performing.”
All three ahead of the peak teen years, Parker says the kids still like their famous parents. “They still like us. We like to be around them as much as possible while they still like us,” she joked.
