In the pantheon of actresses that make us hope Prince Charming sits at the end of a lead character's long road to love, Sarah Jessica Parker takes the cake. She knows exactly how to make a subject long over an old boyfriend but still be empowered, and can corral a group of friends for a rowdy girls' night out—all while giving us serious fashion envy.

So where does the queen of romantic comedy turn to for inspiration? “Modern Romance. Lost in America. A New Leaf. An Unmarried Woman. The Way We Were, although that probably doesn’t count as a romantic comedy, but it’s certainly a romance,” she says of her favorite heart-swelling films. And while Parker’s three children (James Wilkie, 13, and 6-year-old twins Marion Loretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge James) perhaps prefer to watch Saturday cartoons, the kids may eventually tune in to some of mom’s favorites. “My son loves The Graduate. That’s one of his all-time favorite movies,” she adds.

The list doesn’t end there: “I happen to like Honeymoon in Vegas, to be honest. Those are some of my top favorites, definitely. I love Four Weddings and a Funeral—I love! Groundhog Day. Those are the ones that first come to mind.”

Time to add some new flicks to the Netflix queue!
