Prepare to clear your DVRs because awards season is fast approaching! Anna Faris and Anthony Mackie announced the nominations for the 22nd annual Screen Actors Guild Awards this morning inside L.A.’s Pacific Design Center and the results are undeniably buzzy. InStyle January cover star and How to Get Away with Murder lead Viola Davis received a nod for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series and is joined by fellow contenders Claire Danes (Homeland), Julianna Margulies (The Good Wife), Maggie Smith (Downton Abbey), and Robin Wright (House of Cards).

Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara’s performance in of-the-moment love story Carol brought home nominations, with Blanchett honored in the category for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role and Mara for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role. Other Hollywood A-listers to note in the motion picture categories include Leonardo DiCaprio (for The Revenant), Eddie Redmayne (for The Danish Girl), Helen Mirren (for Trumbo), and comedian Sarah Silverman for her dramatic performance in I Smile Back.

Back in the world of TV, Game of Thrones, Homeland, and House of Cards continued to dominate with three nominations each, while hit shows like Mad Men and Downton Abbey closely followed with two each. To boot, 82-year-old actress and comedian Carol Burnett will receive the 52nd annual SAG Life Achievement Award.
