Designer: Christian Dior
What was it like: There's a palpable feeling of excitement the morning of a Dior show and this season, upon entering the central plaza outside the Louvre, guests were greeted with what looked like an endless runway painted pastel pink. Despite the sweet, candy colored backdrop, designer Raf Simons explored the "darker, more sexual" side of femininity. No flower prints here. Instead there were catsuits, latex-like boots, and fur cocktail dresses.
Why we love this collection: The combination of psychedelic prints, eye-catching accessories (think lucite heels and mirrored sunglasses) and bold, slightly naughty black eye makeup made for an entirely modern lineup that felt like a breath of fresh air. With Fifty Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson sitting front row in a sexy black Dior look, the slightly sinister appeal of this collection felt spot on.
