Happy birthday to the one and only, Roberto Cavalli! The Italian fashion designer, who is well known for his bold, vivacious prints, turns 75 today.

Cavalli got his start in the industry as a textile printer in Italy and began designing womenswear in the early '70s. And it certainly was his prints, which he also featured on stretch denim in the early '90s, that really made a name for Cavalli amongst fashion's elite European designers.

Since then, his prints have appeared on chiffon gowns, sheaths, and essentially anything with a sexy silhouette that could hold a lively design—as well as in his secondary brands, Just Cavalli, Roberto Cavalli Home and a pet couture line.

What's more, Cavalli has had a serious celebrity following from the start. One of his first clients included French actress Brigitte Bardot—not too shabby. Since then, the designer has dressed Hollywood's biggest names, including Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé, Ciara, and recently, Kim Kardashian during the 2015 Met Gala in New York City.

In honor of Cavalli's milestone birthday, take a peek at his luxurious estate in Florence, which InStyle recently toured.
