Forget needle-thin, precise couture measurements. For his latest project, Givenchy creative director Riccardo Tisci is trading in Cate Blanchett-approved red carpet gowns for something everyone can get on board with: sneakers. Specifically dubbed NikeLab Dunk Lux High x RT, the Kardashian-favorite is once again teaming up with Nike for his sophomore shoe collaboration following a successful, colorful debut in 2014, WWD reports.

For the 41-year-old Italian designer, who reportedly owns over 1,000 sneakers and first purchased a pair of Nikes at age 12 or 13, piecing together a basketball court staple comes naturally. “I live my life in Nike trainers,” he told WWD, adding, “It’s interesting because I come from a couture background and I’m the first couturier who is doing a project with them, bringing my way of thinking about couture and about fashion.”

So what does the new design look like? In order to honor Nike’s Dunk, which turned 30-years-old last year, Tisci peeled away the layers and opted to construct a sleek, minimal shoe that he describes as “strong, but clean and simple.” The end result features a high-top black sneaker with an extended swoosh in white—a white version with a black or red swoosh will soon follow.

“They’re still related to basketball, street, skateboard culture and all that, but much more pure, much more minimal, and with very strong details,” he added. “This can be used by everybody and it can be worn every day, not only for sport.”
