If there’s ever been a shoe designer to know about, it’s The Office of Angela Scott. With celebrity clients including Cate Blanchett, Ellen DeGeneres, Taylor Swift, and Julia Roberts, Scott's kicks have “It" girl written all over them. Aside from its undeniable cool factor, the company’s new Los Angeles flagship is just as swoon-worthy as the shoes themselves.
Already sold in Neiman Marcus and various boutiques, the brand opened its very first California storefront on trendy Melrose Avenue last November. With luxe touches like crystal chandeliers and gold fixtures, a visit to the shop feels like walking into Scott’s own living room. The storefront is “a great way for people to know what The Office of Angela Scott feels like, what it smells like… it’s my way of inviting our customer into my home,” the designer said in a statement. Furnished in neutral hues accented with greenery even Martha Stewart would approve of, the space is bright, airy, and welcoming.
Aptly described by Scott herself as “luxury punk,” the line has something for everyone. Rose gold wingtips and bold pink and red-striped oxfords will make girly-girls happy, while navy suede boots or black patent leather oxfords appeal to modern minimalists. Both women’s and men’s shoes are displayed throughout the shop on custom brass shelving, which also houses perfumes, hats, and shirts from a number of California-based designers. The Office of Angela Scott really has it all.
