Back in 2001, when chunky platinum highlights and body glitter were all the rage, we officially became converts to the beachy wave, thanks to because of John Frieda’s iconic Beach Blonde products. Not unlike the wind and water used to create them, the Beach Blonde Sea Salt Spray became a force of nature in our world, but when the line was discontinued in 2004, finding a comparable replacement has been an ongoing journey---until now! A decade after thinking we'd never see the products again, the range is finally making its triumphant return to store shelves. Earlier this year, the brand took to their social media platforms to poll their fans on which throwback product they'd like to see relaunched, and no surprise here, the Beach Blonde lineup came out on top.
"After launching the beach-chic look so many years ago, it's only fitting that now we're bringing this beloved product lineup back to give our loyal customers the formulas they love," says Karen Frank, vice president of marketing for John Frieda. The collection will arrive in January, and includes shampoo, conditioner, lightening spray, and of course, the sea salt spray of our dreams, priced at $10 each. Aside from the fact that we no longer have to search eBay for the old-school texturizer, we're even more excited that target.com doing a special pre-sale of the Beach Blonde Salt Spray on Monday, allowing us to shop the product before the official launch. Set your alarms and queue up the Peaches and Herb; Being reunited has never felt---or looked---so good.
