Reese Witherspoon isn't shy about the fact that she loves to read. In fact, her film production company, Pacific Standard, has optioned several of her favorite books, including Maureen Sherry's Opening Belle ($18; amazon.com), Cheryl Strayed's Wild ($13; amazon.com), and Gillian Flynn's Gone Girl ($9; amazon.com), to name just a few. Suffice it to say, when she gives a title her stamp of approval, it carries a helluva lot of weight.

The actress and self-professed bookworm's latest rec? Adulting ($9; amazon.com), a laugh-out-loud how-to guide based on author Kelly Williams Brown's cult-favorite blog that teaches invaluable lessons, like what to look for in a new apartment, how to avoid office hook-ups, and the secret to never running out of toilet paper (spoiler alert: buy in bulk).

"I <3 this book so much," Witherspoon wrote in the caption to her Instagram. "I go back and look at it over and over again. It's laugh-out-loud funny, yet practical and shockingly accurate (Step 361: Don't date someone who is mean to you!!). It talks about the mundane (how to clean your apartment) and the big issues (how to choose your friends). A great gift for basically ... any adult. After you read it 2 x yourself!"

Make room on your bookshelves, ladies.
