If you melted over Kate Middleton's recent sweet snaps of Prince George and Princess Charlotte, you weren't the only one. The Duchess of Cambridge also impressed the Queen's longtime photographer, who couldn't stop singing her praises after catching a glimpse at her photos.
"I thought they were wonderful pictures, beautifully shot," Hugo Rittson Thomas told People of the photos Middleton released to celebrate her children's birthdays. "She captured the joy, happiness and youth of her children which is a wonderful thing and sometimes hard to do as a parent."
Thomas first met the mom of two back in 2012 during a photography session with Prince William, and said that even then Middleton's passion for photography was clear. "I was quite taken aback by her knowledge of photography," he continued. "She asked a lot of technical questions about what I was doing and the set up—she almost caught me out a few times actually!"
"If circumstances had been different, she could definitely have had a career in photography—she has a lot of talent," Thomas added. That talent can be seen in the adorable photos Middleton snapped and recently shared of Princess Charlotte to commemorate the baby girl's first birthday.
In the photos, the tiny tyke looks like a natural in front of the camera as she strikes several smiley poses in soft pink and blue cardigans paired with printed dresses, happily pushing a colorful crate and playing in a mini wicker armchair.
It was just the latest time Middleton stepped behind the camera and shared the results with the world. The Duchess also snapped several shots of Prince George cuddling his little sister last year, just a few weeks after Charlotte was born.
