Who knew Queen Elizabeth was such a driving enthusiast?

The monarch was spotted at the wheel of her Range Rover while taking Kate Middleton on a ride through the grounds of her picturesque Balmoral estate in the Scottish countryside over the weekend, proving once again that the 90-year-old Brit still has quite the taste for adventure. Each of the royals were dressed for the occasion: the Queen donned a quilted green vest over a navy blue button-up shirt fo the outing, while the Duchess of Cambridge opted for an olive green jacket that she accessorized with a coordinating knit scarf and tortoiseshell headband.

Prince William, Kate, and their two children, Prince George, 3, and Princess Charlotte, 1, arrived in Scotland last week, where they are currently staying at Balmoral Castle for their annual late summer break with Her Majesty.

And it looks like the family of four has a busy month ahead. A Kensington Palace spokesman confirmed yesterday that the Duke and Duchess's adorable kids will join them on an upcoming trip to Canada at the end of September—they are set to arrive in Victoria, British Columbia, on September 24.
