Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday celebrations are seemingly never-ending—and neither is her supply of cheery monochromatic ensembles. Britain’s longest-reigning monarch stepped out for her official birthday celebration this weekend (the special day was actually back in April) in her brightest look yet.
Clad in a neon green hat and matching coat, the queen proved that you can pull off neon at 90 years old. Wearing a Stewart Parvin coat and Rachel Trevor hat with a pop of pink, she looked positively radiant. The look had Twitter buzzing on Saturday with #neonat90, as on-lookers celebrated her pop of color.
The monarch was out and about for the Trooping the Colour ceremony, where she watched the Royal Air Force flypast from the balcony of Buckingham Palace with her royal family by her side.
This is just one of many events that were held this weekend in honor of Queen Elizabeth’s birthday. On Sunday, the royals stepped out for a birthday street party, looking exuberant despite the damp weather. Prince William made a speech in honor of his grandmother’s milestone birthday, saying "Granny, thank you for everything you have done for your family. We could not wish you a happier birthday."
At 90 years old, we’d say this cheerful monarch has never looked better.
