We’ll perhaps never be royals, but Prince Harry and First Lady Michelle Obama will soon let us live our aristocratic fantasies vicariously as the high-profile figures are set to reunite this May in Orlando, Fla. So what’s the cause for their max security get together? Obama will be on hand to support Team USA and the handsome Brit’s Invictus Games (being held May 8 to May 12), which give wounded veterans from across the globe an opportunity to be not only partake in fun, Paralympic-style ventures, but also be honored for their contributions, People reports.
"With Prince Harry’s leadership, I hope that the world will join us in celebrating these incredible athletes and supporting all our service members, veterans, and their families,” FLOTUS told People. “I’m excited to cheer on the Warriors of Team USA in Orlando as they represent our nation and their brothers and sisters in arms.”
Dr. Jill Biden will also join the figures at the showdown. “One of the things that never ceases to amaze me is the spirit of our wounded warriors. They never lose their competitive drive and dedication that make them some of the finest warriors the world has ever seen,” Biden added.
Prince Harry and Obama have spent time supporting veterans together in the past. In fact, the dynamic duo proved to ignite a solid friendship back in October, where they both traveled to Fort Belvoir in Virginia to promote the Games.
