This year's Independence Day celebrations marked the Obama family's last year in the White House for the holiday, and the president couldn't help but get nostalgic for another big milestone as well.

As President Obama concluded his speech, he turned the attention to his daughter Malia, whose 18th birthday also happened to fall on Fourth of July 2016.

"Just because it's a job of a father to embarrass his daughters, I've got one last job," the proud dad said. "It just so happens that we celebrate our country's birthday on the same day that we celebrate my oldest daughter's birthday." POTUS then started serenading his daughter and even got the crowd to join in! Watch the special moment here:

In any other father-daughter relationship, this would probably be a cringe-worthy scenario, but the president's singing was just adorable and luckily the Harvard-bound teen seemed to agree: She joined her dad on the stage afterward to give him a big hug.
