It's official—the color authority, Pantone, has announced the top color for 2013 as (drum roll please) Emerald Green! The hue is a lush, recharging shade to follow in the footsteps of 2012’s bright tangerine. "[It is] the most abundant hue in nature—the human eye sees more green than any other color in the spectrum," Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, said in a statement. "This powerful and universally-appealing tone translates easily to both fashion and home interiors." The bold hue first hit our radar earlier this fall on the Spring 2013 runways, when designers including Stella McCartney and Chanel gave the the jewel tone a nod. Move over diamonds, emeralds are a girl's best friend this year!
