The Britannia Awards, which took place last night at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles, may have been about celebrating the arts, but talk soon veered to more pop culture-minded topics.
Namely, when Orlando Bloom took the stage to accept his award and to talk about his work with UNICEF, the actor couldn't help but make a few jests about the hyper-connected Hollywood young set and how rumors can come to pass.
"I wanted the opportunity to clear this up, I actually did not 'connect' with Justin Bieber," he said to laughs. "And I don't know Kendall Jenner, but if anyone has her number I would love it," he deadpanned.
Bloom went on to discuss how become a father (he has a son with Miranda Kerr) has made him all the more cognizant of how important his work with UNICEF in Africa has been. He said, "Being a father, I cannot even imagine how I would navigate some of the situations that some of these families have experienced."
