If the news of Maya Angelou's U.S. Postal Stamp wasn't exciting enough, here's something else to look forward to: the Postmaster General Megan Brennan will be joined by Oprah Winfrey in dedicating the Maya Angelou Forever Stamp during a first-day-of-issue dedication ceremony next month. Winfrey has long considered Angelou her life mentor and the famous pair were known for their close friendship.

The stamp showcases Ross Rossin's oil-on-canvas portrait of Angelou, and features this quotation by the iconic author: "A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song." Plus, the stamp pane includes a short excerpt from Angelou’s book, Letter to My Daughter, and reads: "Try to be a rainbow in someone’s cloud."
