Olivia the Pig just turned 15—and she's celebrating in style. The beloved character from Ian Falconer's illustrated book series has gone on a ton of adventures in print, and now she's taking on the world of fashion. She just designed her first-ever collection of children's clothing for Gymboree, launching in stores and on gymboree.com today.
Starting at $10, the pieces in the collection are available in sizes from 6 to 12 months up to 12 years, meaning that there's something for all of the Olivia-loving little ladies out there. And many of the looks are straight out of Olivia's storybook. The limited-edition collection offers everything from puffer coats to headbands that are inspired by Olivia's very own wardrobe. So while she may have had a bit of human help when designing the line, the the stylish swine still played a huge role in the creative process. Her likeness is featured on the collection's dresses, sweaters, and accessories—and the styles that don't feature her friendly face are inspired by the classically coordinated ensembles she wears in the books.
All of the pieces come in the precocious pig's signature palette of red, white, and black, making it easy to mix and match the whimsical designs when shopping the line. Of course, prints and patterns are aplenty—and in true Olivia fashion, there are bows on everything from hair accessories to party dresses.
