Octavia Spencer’s go-to designer for awards season is Tadashi Shoji. The Help star has worn his creations to the Golden Globes and the Screen Actors Guild Awards, and the designer is thrilled. "She's a genuine, nice person," Shoji told InStyle.com at his fashion show in New York yesterday. "When I went there for a fitting and she put on my dress, she literally cried. I appreciate that she wore my dresses and she appreciated that I designed for her. It's mutual admiration." And her faithfulness to him is what he loves most. "She's getting really well-known, but in the beginning she wore my dresses. Then, the much bigger designers came to say, 'hi.' But she's loyal." So, does this mean we'll see the Best Supporting Actress nominee in one of his pieces at the upcoming Academy Awards? "That, I don't know," he said. "Surprise, surprise." Here's to hoping!
