Nicole Richie has a lot to celebrate these days: her first collection with Revolve, a new jewelry line and her return to television! The designer and mother hosted a fete for her House of Harlow 1960 and Revolve collaboration at their Hamptons house on Saturday wearing a burnt orange jumpsuit with a cutout from her latest line, Manolo Blahnik shoes and a slick top knot.
“I just knew that it would the perfect marriage the moment I met with them,” she told InStyle of working with Revolve. “They are young, innovative, creative people who are constantly experimenting and wanting to push boundaries and really designing for the same girl that House of Harlow does so I really just knew that it would be a good match.”
Nicole was also rocking dangling crystal earrings from House of Harlow Black Label, a new higher priced offering of her accessories line. “These crystals are part of the collection,” she explained of her bling. “I put specific crystals for the appropriate chakra and place on your body.”
The 34-year-old reality show alum is also coming back to TV in her first ever scripted show. Nicole just found out she scored a lead role in Great News, an NBC show being executive produced by Tina Fey about a mother and daughter who work at the same cable news network. “I’m a huge fan of Tina Fey and this was just such an amazing opportunity for me,” Nicole shared. “I just found out two days ago and I was on a plane to New York so it hasn’t really hit me yet because I’m not home yet but it’s so incredibly exciting.”
As for how she balances being a designer, mother of two, wife and now a major TV role, Nicole takes it one day at a time. “There’s always a new stage,” Nicole says. “There’s a new stage with kids, a new stage with careers and you can plan it out as much as you want and I definitely love a plan. I’m a Virgo and I love a written down schedule but that’s not what life is. So I just wake up every morning and I prioritize and I do the best I can.” Clearly, she’s doing a fantastic job.
Style bloggers such as Rocky Barnes and Chiara Ferragni were on hand to celebrate Nicole’s newest ventures and enjoy Moët & Chandon Ice Rosé Imperial while lounging by the pool and wandering through the rosé garden. “I’ve been a fan of House of Harlow and Nicole Richie forever,” said Rocky, who was wearing a kimono from Nicole’s collection. “I think her style is very effortless and bohemian. It’s chic and beautiful and you can throw it over anything. I’m excited for her to do something with Revolve that’s really available to everyone.”
